This was another crazy weekend for us. After a two-day shoot in Vermont for our Riverside Farm Wedding, we woke up in the wee hours of the morning and flew into New York just in time for Hailey and Fai’s wedding in Long Island. Although we were travel-weary and sleep-deprived, there was nothing about this wedding that didn’t drive us with adrenaline all the way to the end. Hailey, a constant ball of energy, and Fai, the eternal jokester, kept us and the rest of the bridal party entertained all day long. Starting with the Chinese door games, where the bridesmaids relentlessly tortured and embarrassed the groom’s party (including waxing their legs!), there was never a dull moment.

The men enjoyed a moment of joy as a brand-new bike was wheeled into the living room for the groom as a surprise wedding day gift from the bride! Little did they know what was in store for them at the girls’ apartment would be the most brutal of door games we had ever seen. Let’s just say, at the end, we could never look at them the same way again. But when Fai finally reached the last door and saw his stunning bride (wearing Vera Wang, of course!) for the first time, it was well worth all the pain and embarrassment.

After a fun portrait session with the wedding party at Gantry Park, we all drove to the Swan Club in preparation for their ceremony, which, just like the morning, was full of surprises and mildly embarrassing moments for the groom (smile). And the rest of the evening certainly lived up to their standards. Congrats, Hai and Fai!
